We publish premium editions of public-domain classics for two connected audiences: classical schools seeking worthy classroom texts and independent readers who want books with substance, beauty, and room for reflection.
Our Commonplace Editions are designed around a simple conviction: great books reward active attention. Generous margins invite readers to respond, while carefully chosen prompts encourage deeper consideration of the ideas within each work.
We are building the collection deliberately, one edition at a time. Frankenstein is our first printed title. Other works will move from the publishing roadmap to finished editions as their texts, designs, and production details are completed.
