Commonplace
Good sense, says Descartes, is “the most equally distributed” of all things, because everyone thinks himself well supplied with it. A few paragraphs on he says he knows “how very liable we are to delusion in what relates to ourselves.” Number the steps of the first paragraph’s argument. Does the second remark weaken any of them?
